Tourney Recap

Tournament kicked off with each team playing 2 games before the actual double elimination stage kicked off.  Mixing league guys with others that dont participate in league was a great move.  Weather was great and games were fun.  After three hours of games food came and took a little break.  After the quick break we had 4 teams face off with winners playing the 2 teams that got buys and the losers coming back in morning to finish up tournament.  Sunday, the day started of with two elimination games going on.  Team Leone v Team Trainito.  This game was won by Team Leone.  In the other game it was Team Forbes v Team Petrucelli.  Team Forbes took this one.  Next up at 10:30 was the two previouswinner vs one another and the 2 teams from the winners bracket to see who gets the finals berth out of it.  Team Leone faced Team Forbes in a good one but in the end Team Forbes took the game.  Team Harris played Team Carino in another great game.  A Geoff Harris HR was the only run and Team Harris took the first birth in the championship.  11:30 had Team Forbes vs Team Carino with the winner getting to face Team Harris in the finals.  Team Carino won this close one 1-0 to set up a rematch with Team Harris for the title.

12:30 Started the finals and this game was same as last.  Both pitchers thowing up 0's on the scorebook till Billy Dellorusso would triple and G Harris would follow with a hit to drive him in to go up 1-0.  That would hold up as Team Harris would defeat Team Carino and win TOURNAMENT 2025 and become the champs.

I want to congratulate a few guys.  I am giving out the Players of the Tournament.  I am selecting a player from each team.  Team Harris POTT is Tim Scanlon

These three guys played great throughout the weekend and paved their teams path to the final.
